About Us
Who are we?
Harrogate Vineyard is part of Vineyard Churches in the UK & Ireland, led by Nik & Maggie Gee. As well as working for the church, Nik currently works for CAP (Christians Against Poverty) and Maggie teaches in Harrogate. They are proud parents to three lovely children!
We first encountered the Vineyard in St Albans in the early 90s, immediately falling in love with their passion for worship, and seeing people transformed by Jesus.
After moving to Leeds, we took every opportunity to serve & learn in both North Leeds Vineyard and then Wharfedale Vineyard (now renamed Leeds Vineyard).
We have always been passionate about helping people to find and follow Jesus and felt God calling us to plant and grow a church here in Harrogate.

Our Vision
God has called us to establish a vibrant, creative, biblically-based and growing church in Harrogate. A church where all are invited to discover Jesus and what it means to follow Him. An outward-looking community which will, in a creative and contemporary way, in the power of the Holy Spirit, worship God and communicate the good news of Jesus with compassion and generosity. We aim to make and equip disciples, raise up leaders, plant new churches and be a blessing to the wider church.
Our desire is to see lives changed through the power and presence of God; to see broken lives restored; to see those without hope given a reason for joy; to pray for and be actively involved in God’s justice for the poor. We believe God has something powerfully life-changing and relevant to say to all people. Our desire is to grow a church where people are welcome at any part of their journey; whether they are seekers, followers or just hanging out.
Our invitation is “Come as you are”.
Our Values
Know & Be Known
Connecting with God
We want to both know God, and be known by Him. We gather to worship, singing to God – not just about Him – seeking His presence, God with us in our midst. As children & adults we study the bible, finding encouragement & insight together. We pray to God, but we also pray for one another; ministering to each other in naturally supernatural ways, experiencing comfort, encouragement, breakthrough, and healing – of course the living God is going to act in our midst, as he always has and always will. Healing, transformation, restoration – it’s what he's all about, and it’s what we love!
Relationship with one another
Community & fellowship is so important to us. Serving & getting involved. In our smallgroups we share life & share faith. We provide pastoral support to those going through trying times. We gather together and connect over food & drink, on Sundays, at Brunch, at our worship evenings, and the VK boardgames. And our weekly Monday Reflections, written by different people in our church, encouraging, challenging, uplifting, thought-provoking & inspiring – what a great way to hear more wisdom from throughout our community.
Reaching Out
We believe that we have something amazing to share; a faith-filled, life-transforming relationship with God, a growing community that expresses that to one another, and that also reaches out to those who don’t yet know him. We love to show that in practical ways, with a simple message to people that God loves them. And creating invitational spaces, parties & events where we can invite our unchurched or de-churched friends to reconnect with a community where the Holy Spirit is at work.
Our bottom line is: come along, get stuck in, join in serving one another, worship, invite your friends, bless your community, consider giving financially if you aren’t already, and let’s grow this church together.
